Design Center Automation - What do I need to know?

What is Design Center Automation?

Design Center Automation is a simple, effective way to use multiple, automatically customized marketing materials to promote the key events during the life of your listings. You’ll receive one marketing package, for each listing, with customized materials you can put to use immediately. Saving you time and money on the promotion of your listings.

Four different campaigns are available to market the various events during the life of your listings:

  1. Just Listed
  2. Open House
  3. Price Reduced
  4. Just Sold

Within 24 to 48 hours of the listing being entered or updated in the MLS, you’ll receive an email communication for each of these events with pre-customized materials within the email that you can use immediately such as listing flyers, postcards, virtual tours, a brochure, social posts, ePostcards, listing videos, and single property websites. You’ll also have the power to edit the marketing materials, if needed, in the RE/MAX Design Center.

What will trigger new projects to be created?

*Note: A Just Sold automated marketing package is created when the MLS ID# is no longer being received in the feed.  Unfortunately there isn't a way to identify if the listing actually sold, or expired, or was deleted from the MLS and re-entered with a new MLS ID#.  A Just Sold package would be created for each of those scenarios. 

It can take up to 24-48 hours for changes that are made within the MLS to filter to Design Center.  This is especially important to remember for Open Houses.  If an Open House for Saturday is entered in the MLS on Friday, it is possible that the Open House automated package will not be created until Sunday.

Can I modify the projects?

You won’t be able to select different projects but you can modify the projects that are created for you. If there is a different project you want created feel free to create that as all your data will be available to you in Design Center.


What information will automatically be updated with the MLS?

Your marketing materials will be automatically updated to reflect any text changes received from the MLS including price reductions, listing descriptions, field changes (bathroom count, bedroom count, features, amenities, etc.) Changes to photos – either their order or new photos – will also cause your marketing materials to be automatically updated.


My listing is in LeadStreet, but a package has not yet been created, why?

There are a couple of reasons why a listing package may not yet be created.

• If photos are not available in your LeadStreet account, then the listing package will not be created.
• If the listing is new, please allow up to 24-48 hours for the listing package to be created in Design Center.


Will I receive an email if I’m a co-listing agent?

No, the way that the Design Center receives listing data associates those listings with the primary listing agent, but not the co-listing agent. For that reason, the Design Center is only able to create marketing materials on behalf of the primary listing agent.


Are there storage limitations within Design Center for my listing projects?

While Design Center has storage limits for the projects you create, any projects created through the automation program will not count towards those limits.


I marked my listing as pending but received the just sold marketing package. Why?

Once a listing is marked as pending, the just sold package is generated to ensure that all of your marketing materials are ready to go as soon as the listing sells.


I’m a Commercial Practitioner, why don’t I receive emails for my listings and listing events?

Emails will not be generated for commercial listings. There will, however, be a commercial listing package available under the Listing Tab that Commercial Practitioners can use to create a marketing package with the push of a single button.


How long will my listing automation packages be available within Design Center?

Listing packages will be available for 90 days after the listing has been removed from the MLS.


How do I opt out of email notifications/listing packages?

If you do not wish to receive the listing package emails, you can opt out through a link at the bottom of the email. Inside the listing package email, scroll to the bottom and click on 'Manage Notifications' to update your preferences.
